Surviving Mortality Supper Club
Surviving mortality is a universal human process. How do we cope with, persevere through, and endure the multi-layered matters of mortality? How does awareness of (and preparation for) our inevitable death shape our lives? How does supporting others as they face death impact us? How does the grief that accompanies loss after loss inform our personhood and presentness?
Join death doula Alyssa Kelly in a community conversation about these matters, facilitated with intention and compassion, over the span of a delicious meal.
Surviving Mortality Supper Club:
To foster genuine connection and preserve intimacy, these gatherings are limited to a maximum of seven participants.
To ensure collective vulnerability and comfort, participants must be willing to reflect openly and respectfully on the topic provided.
To deliver nourishment for the body and soul, these super clubs occur in cozy dining spaces that serve quality cuisine for savoring.
To maintain the vision of actually breaking bread together, participants must pay for a dinner entree. Ordering appetizers and desserts, for a three course dining experience together, is encouraged. *Participants’ dining tabs will be on separate checks – and must be paid directly to the venue on the evening of the event.
To reserve a spot at the dinner table, participants must pay Alyssa $10. This cost covers the event’s facilitation (not the food).
To guarantee a successful event, participants must arrive on time for the dinner reservation – and stay for the duration of the meal.
