Event Planning

Death is often synonymous with details — many of which can become quick burdens if certain preparations have not been made in advance or specific wishes have not been expressed. As a death doula, one of my aims is to help clients and their caregiving communities navigate the logistical aspects a death poses, as well as serve as a guide to anyone (at any age or stage of health) invested in addressing those matters. Conversations about preferences and wishes can be delicate, and it’s often helpful to begin them with someone who is not emotionally related to the client.

I’m available for:

• advance care planning

• development of an advance directive plan (*Maine clients only)

• memorial service planning

• organizing remembrance rituals

• coordinating “living funerals” (a celebratory event that offers clients a chance to say goodbye to friends and family on their own terms)
