ALYSSA KELLY, founder of Until & After, was trained as an end-of-life doula through the University of Vermont, earned her NEDA proficiency through membership in the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance, and successfully completed distinguished death doula Alua Arthur’s Evolve program.
Building on over twenty years of experience as an English instructor serving diverse student populations, Alyssa specializes in death education and grief support. A seasoned musician with a graduate degree in creative writing, Alyssa also offers artistic contributions – including writing workshops and original performances – in addition to caregiving services and event planning.
After serving as her mother’s caregiver during her death process (in 2008), supporting her father during his fight against cancer and continued decline, and acting as an approachable resource for countless students in their bereavement process… Alyssa was compelled to pursue the path of end-of-life doula work.
She is particularly invested in supporting the following: communities ready to foster honest conversations about death and bereavement, burnt-out caregivers, teenagers navigating collective grief, anyone open to exploring a creative process in response to mortal matters, and those dealing with the logisitical details a loss delivers.
